Presenting with Confidence: A Workshop for Arts Research Students
SUPRA and the University of Sydney presents Hugh Kearns from Thinkwell on Presenting with Confidence
If you are a researcher, then at some stage you will need to present your findings. To ensure your audience understand your message as you intend it, you need to communicate clearly, skilfully and with conviction.
This free workshop for honours and postgraduate students will provide a step-by-step structure to giving high quality and effective presentations. It will cover:
- Making your message relevant to your audience
- Structuring and linking parts of your talk
- Preparing materials, notes, handouts and PowerPoint slides
- Practicing and delivering your presentation
- Handling questions
- Dealing with nervousness
Hugh Kearns has used the latest psychological and educational research to develop workshops and materials to help you be more effective in your daily life. This workshop will give you an interactive and enjoyable way to learn more about presenting with confidence.
